It has not been well publicised (I wonder why!) but Royal Mail are effectively saying NO! to anything other than small packages under 1 kilo. This means we can now no longer offer the option of 1st or 2nd class postage. All orders of up to 1 kilo will now go either Royal Mail 2nd class or, if they do not conform to the Royal Mail size restrictions, by Hermes Home Delivery (2-3 days). The cost of this is £2.60 which we think is as competitive as you will find.

At least it will mean an end to PO queus as business customers will surely now find alternatives.
